The Umbra Tronix is built around a powerful four transistor gain stage, ensuring you get pure, raw power, rich harmonics, and an authentic analog feel that digital can't touch.

Control	Function	The Benefit for Your Tone
Right Footswitch (Bypass)	Activates or bypasses the effect.	True Bypass ensures your pure bass tone remains untouched when the pedal is off. Bypass mode turns off the unit to preserve the internal 9v battery. (if installed)
Left Footswitch (Gain Toggle)	Switches between the High and Low gain stages.	Instantly jump between two distinct distortion voicings mid-song—a powerful tool for dynamic playing.
Level	Output Volume.	Dial in the perfect volume to hit your amp. We designed it with massive headroom to avoid clipping your amp's front end, preserving your core tone even at maximum output.
Drive	Increases the intensity of the distortion.	Turn it up for crushing saturation, or dial it back for a perfectly tailored "always-on" light saturation that keeps a slight amount of grit in the signal.
Filter	Gentle top boost or low-end boost.	Adds high-frequency clarity, which also increases the distortion's bite. Roll it back: This gently rolls off the harsh top end.

High/Low Gain & Boost Control

Instantly define your sonic character with two distinct flavors of analog distortion:

High Gain (Red LED): Aggressive and modern with more mid-to-high end distortion and increased saturation. Perfect for lead lines or cutting through a dense mix with articulate, scorching top end.
Low Gain (Green LED): Thick and powerful with more mid and low-end distortion. It provides a solid, warm foundation of grit that retains massive low-end authority.
Boost Switch: Instant devastation. This switch adds an extra gain stage for maximum saturation. Use it for maximum thickness, especially when you use the filter to roll off the top end, ensuring your tone remains brutally thick without thinning out.

The Filter - Sculpt Your Low End

The Filter is the secret weapon for shaping your low end—it's voiced to provide either a gentle top boost or a subtle, yet powerful, low-end boost.

Turn it up: Adds high-frequency clarity, which also increases the distortion's bite, making your tone more aggressive. The low end remains unaffected, keeping your foundation solid.
Roll it back: This gently rolls off the harsh top end, which in turn dramatically increases the low-end response and adds immense power. Your sound becomes bigger, wider, and more massive without getting muddy.
